Wasted Wednesday: Sangria

A few years ago I was partaking in the South Main Trolley Tour, which is when the arts district in downtown Memphis stays open late so you can peruse the art galleries and cute boutiques while sipping on free wine. I was with my sisters-in-law and we had some yummy sangria at one of the stores. We asked for the recipe and have made it at several gatherings. This makes a TON so make sure you have a big punch bowl and lots of thirsty friends when you make it.

Party Sangria

1 bottle red wine (we usually use something sweet)
1 bottle white wine
8 cups lemonade
8 cups limeade
4 cups pineapple juice
cut fruit (orange slices, pineapple chunks, whatever you might have)

Refrigerate juices ahead of time and mix all ingredients and fruit in a large punch bowl.

If you are feeling really swanky you could make fancy ice cubes with lemon or lime slices.
