The Palace Saloon, Fernandina Beach, FL

One of our all time favorite bars ever is in Fernandina Beach, FL, where Bryan and I recently vacationed. It’s in the historic downtown area which has been around forever.

The Palace Saloon holds the distinction of being Flordia’s oldest bar in one location. (There is an older bar, but its moved around a bit.) I’m glad they haven’t moved because the bar itself is one of the prettiest.

The bar was originally designed by Adolphus Busch (of Anheuser Busch). It has a long history as a “captains bar” in the busy port town.

While you’re there you must get their patented Pirate Punch. Its amazing .They’re pretty secretive about whats in it, but I can’t visit the Island without a cup of punch. If you aren’t into booze they also have a great beer selection. I think they have food, but we only went for the drinks.
